Information Sharing Between Child Welfare and Schools: Maintaining Privacy and Promoting Educational Success

This guide, Information Sharing Between Child Welfare and Schools: Maintaining Privacy and Promoting Educational Success, was created by the Supreme Court of Texas Children's Commission Foster Care and Education Confidentiality Workgroup. As stated in the booklet, "For students in foster care there is a balance between maintaining privacy and sharing information that will promote their educational success. Personnel in both the CPS and education systems can coordinate and collaborate to address questions and concerns as they arise and ultimately make the child’s school experience positive and enriching."
